I'm a Spiritual Sandwich ... are you?
After the big shifts and changes March brought us, are you aligning with the best rhythms and path forward for you? Perhaps you are ready to change ...
March was a very busy month for me leaving me feeling like a member of the ‘sandwich generation’. The definition of ‘sandwich generation refers to adults who simultaneously care for their aging parents and their minor children. While we don’t have any minor children – we do ...

… that’s chakra maintenance too! Dedicating yourself to morning and evening rituals or practices that help keep your mind not only in a good place but focused on something other than what went wrong that day / or how painful your body feels / or tomorrows schedule … all contributes to chakra maintenance. So perhaps you can see why I do the things I do / work at the things I work on and perpetually look for better ways at coming at things.
To the people who feel ignored, not heard, or even acknowledged by me – I’m sorry – you really aren’t though – you're thought of often … I’m still here just doing the best that I can while maintain this somewhat dilapidated body of mine by putting one foot in front of the other. The sandwich persona will all too soon come to an end and until then I’m going to keep on keeping on!
Wishing you an Awesome April!☺

10. Sandalwood ~ Sensitivity
♥“I embrace my sensitivity. I am kind and compassionate toward myself and others. My sensitivity is my greatest strength and is part of my spirit that comes from Source.”♥
This beautiful card deck has shuffled out Sandalwood ~ Sensitivity for the month of April.
Sandalwood has a long history of spiritual and cultural life in Asia. Furniture, temples, statues, and incense are made with sandalwood in many Buddhist and Hindu temples. It has a woody, slightly sweet and musky fragrance. Sandalwood oil can promote stillness and support meditation, prayer, and other spiritual practices.
Sandalwood will help you embrace sensitivity as your greatest strength. This card is a sign that you are indeed a sensitive soul. Clairsentience is your superpower. You may have considered yourself an empath or highly sensitive to the emotions and energies of other people and environments. Part of spiritual maturity is learning to discern and how to be in tune with yourself while developing your intuition and sensitivity without fear.
You can give emotions back that are not yours to carry (without absorbing them) not through force, but through the power of Love and Light. Without feeling guilty, you can stay in your power and confidence. You are on a spiritual journey learning to remember the sovereign path of your True self and how to stand in that power.
Sensitivity can be your strength without needing to process emotions for others (even if you feel them). Be in tune with yourself and know which are your energies and which aren’t. Sandalwood is here to assure you that it is safe for you to be connected with the external world, without feeling as if you have to control it any longer.
“Highly sensitive people learned early in life how to control the external world as a way to attempt to manage their inner one.” - Sheryl Paul
Sandalwood is reminding you that your sensitivity is your heartfelt connection to people and situations, which comes through your emotions. It is unfortunate that in today’s society, many are afraid to be sensitive and even view it as a weakness.
This card’s message is to encourage you to embrace your sensitivity and even enhance it. You can utilize this sense of perception as your superpower. You are an advanced soul and it’s time for you to see your sensitivity as one with your spirituality. It is your sincerity and purity of heart that comes from Source.
Reflection Questions:
Do I often feel like a sponge soaking up other people's emotions?
Do I have a hard time discerning my emotions from others’ emotions?
Do people tend to dump their emotions and problems on me? If so, why might this be?
Why do I keep allowing this to happen?
